ABOUT the role
Footballco is looking for a dynamic, creative and passionate strategist to join our expanding team and supercharge our output. The strategy team sits at the heart of our business, working in partnership with sales, creative, content and client services teams to raise the value of Footballco’s content output and deliver creatively brilliant, and effective, campaigns for our partners and drive meaningful engagement with our audience.
The successful candidate will have the ability to think calmly and creatively under pressure and challenge perceived wisdoms in the drive to find the best solution. You will be expected to be extremely comfortable dealing with senior client contacts and collaborating with multiple senior stakeholders within our own business.
This position is based in our Saudi offices. You will report into the Strategy Director.
What you'll be doing
Work closely and collaboratively with key internal stakeholders including sales, client services, creative and editorial teams
Clarify briefs and commercial challenges
Support local sales teams on individual proposals and guide them to help improve the overall quality of our commercial proposal output
Identify relevant insights, and package them in relevant ways
Be able to identify, validate and communicate a strategic solution to a commercial, brand or audience challenge.
Clearly brief, inspire and feedback to creative and content eams
Evaluate concepts and creative work against the original strategy
Craft content strategies that get the best out of social and digital platforms, delivering measurable results
Use your ability to clearly communicate, collaborate and persuade to drive projects through to successful conclusions, often within challenging timelines.
Present proposals to senior client & agency stakeholders
WHAT YOU HAVE
Over 3 years working in a media, sports marketing, agency or brand strategy role.
Experience in developing strategic & creative media campaign proposals that deliver on marketing objectives either at an agency, client or media owner.
Ability to collaborate with commercial and account management teams and comprehensive understanding of how to deliver content-driven campaigns.
Understanding and experience of the sports, media or entertainment industries within Saudi market.
Ability to analyse the needs/objectives of brands, media, rights-holders and talent.
Strong understanding of digital and social platforms and the changing landscape of sports content consumption.
A rigorous, analytical mind with the ability to combine creativity with performance metrics.
The ability to create and deliver compelling presentations.
