THE DRUM NAMES GOAL ‘BEST SPORTS NEWS SITE’ AT ONLINE MEDIA AWARDS

GOAL has been named the ‘best sports news site’ at the Drum’s annual Online Media Awards, it marks the third time that GOAL has picked up the award.

The awards were held at the Drum’s Drum Labs in London’s Shoreditch and were attended by other nominees and winners, including the likes of ITV, Al Jazeera, Politico, and Channel 4.

GOAL’s win was labelled by host and The Drum journalist, Chris Sutcliffe as ‘pure TikTok and Insta gold’ and follows a year that saw GOAL dominate both the FIFA World Cup and UEFA Women’s Euro with more than 400m fans coming to GOAL channels during 2022 and the site seeing significant growth across the UK and US.
